Testimonial: Louise and Chris Cataldo – Walpole, Massachusetts

While visiting my sister’s family in Sedona, we all decided to take a day trip down to the Grand Canyon. My husband, daughter and I had all been there before and there were a total of twelve in our party. When we arrived we first went to the Visitors Center. The staff members were very courteous and friendly and they directed us to the IMAX, which we all very much enjoyed. I especially enjoyed the historical aspect of the film and the scenery was beautiful. After the IMAX we walked out and had a picnic lunch. It was so nice to look at the Grand Canyon and enjoy our lunch as a family. We followed up lunch with some exploring, walking to the different overlooks and enjoying the sites. After walking around for a while, we took a shuttle ride to Bright Angel, which was really fun. The shuttle driver was very nice and made us feel at ease. He took the time to answer all of our questions and we really respected that.  We spent some time around Bright Angel, taking photos and enjoying the day, when suddenly it began to rain heavily. At that point we were almost ready to leave so we went to the gift shop and then departed for the day. The most memorable part of the trip for us was just enjoying the Grand Canyon as a family. It was nice to go out there with everyone and it is certainly a family memory we will cherish for a long time. The trip certainly met our expectations – our twelve-year-old daughter wants to return in the future and do some more hiking. Due to the size of our party and the fact that we had young children with us, we didn’t get too deep into the canyon. All in all, it was a great day!
