Skywalk Grand Canyon 2018

Models to Showcase Haute Couture 4,000 Feet above Grand Canyon

Every once in a while fashion designers pick unique and unexpected venues for their runway shows. In the past, famous designer Karl Lagerfeld has showcased his Channel collection at the Versailles castle. But even he may not be able to top this site: the Grand Canyon.

Skywalk Grand CanyonOn November 1, 2013, supermodel and management organizer for J Model Management, Jessica Minh Anh, will be staging a J Autumn Fashion Show on the Grand Canyon’s Skywalk, a horse-shoe shaped glass bridge 4,000 feet over the Grand Canyon National Park. The models will appear as if walking on a cloud, while the VIPs and press will have special seating on the transparent bridge, too.

Minh Anh is no stranger to unique venues. Since 2011, the talented fashion organizer has been staging fashion shows at some of the most incredible and unexpected places such as the England’s Tower Bridge, the Petronas Twin Towers, and last year, on a floating glass boat on the famous Seine River in Paris.

According to Minh Anh, the Grand Canyon is one of America’s most spectacular landscapes and she is excited to bring fashion to Eagle’s Point. “I hope that inspires people,” adds Minh Anh.

The fashion show will feature both ready-to-wear and haute couture collections from designers belonging to more than 20 countries.

The fall event, along with the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding Colorado River will be filmed from helicopters and broadcast worldwide on the same day.

Jessica Minh Anh has been able to successfully integrated fashion creativity with surreal beauty of the world. Consistent with her daring nature and willingness to impart her ambition to the younger generation, she leaves behind a footprint never to be reproduced, but only to be inspired.

The Grand Canyon Skywalk is considered a major tourist attraction in Arizona and a “must see” on anyone’s Grand Canyon vacation. The 4,000 ft. high glass bridge has attracted thousands of visitors since its opening in 2007.
