Kaibab Camper Village: Peace and Cool in Ponderosa Pines

As the ONLY campground with full RV hookups on the North Rim, Kaibab Camper Village offers the ultimate camping experience at the Grand Canyon. We also offer tent sites and cabin-style rooms. There’s nothing like being so close to the National Forest and cool shade on a grand tour is hard to come by. Our campground is nestled in tall pines, surrounded by the Kaibab National Forest and adjacent to Jacob Lake and a beautiful meadow. Unfortunately, there is no swimming or fishing allowed.

Use the campground as a base for exploring the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and southern Utah. This is a no frills, full hookup with sites under 100-feet tall pines. There are coin operated showers, chemical toilets, and coin operated laundry near the tent sites. The office has a small camp store. Jacob Lake Inn is one mile away if you need a place to eat although better food can be found if you are willing to drive 30 miles or cook. The Jacob Lake store is about a mile from the campground where there is a restaurant, small store, bakery and gas station. There are hundreds of miles of off-road trails that can be accessed right from the campground – the location is great. The North Rim is 40 miles away, but this is the closest location with full hookups.

The mix of people you find at Camper Village is diverse – everything from earthy tent campers, to families on weekend camping trips, to Europeans in their rental motor homes, to off-road enthusiasts in their toy haulers, to full-timers in large coaches.
