The Yavapai Lodge is in the heart of Grand Canyon National Park and is a must stop for active visitors. The entire complex is surrounded by Pinyon and Juniper woodlands, and is a half-mile from the canyon rim. Due to the location in the park, the lodge is close to the action – within two minutes you are walking on the edge of the canyon. Parking is available directly in front of the buildings, but you can also reach everything by foot. In addition, park buses operate at regular intervals. Near the Lodge is the Visitor Center where you can get all other information, a pharmacy, market, post office, bank, deli, coin-operated laundry, etc.
The various lodging buildings are located a short drive from the main lodge. These rooms are referred to as Yavapai East and Yavapai West.
Rooms
Yavapai East: The lodge itself is simply furnished but has everything you need. The rooms are clean and tidy. Most rooms offer two queen beds; some rooms have one king size bed available. The rooms are located in 6 two-story buildings and are equipped with refrigerator, flat screen TV, telephone, air conditioner, coffeemaker, and a bathroom. The guest rooms are accessed from outside walkways and stairwells (there are no elevators).
Yavapai West: The lodge motel-style accommodation is located just minutes from the Grand Canyon South Rim. The lodge offers a restaurant, a coffee shop and a souvenir shop. Parking is free. Rooms are equipped with a bathroom / shower, hairdryer, flat screen TV, telephone, coffee maker and ceiling fan (no air conditioning). Rooms feature two queen beds and are located in 10 single-story buildings with individual exterior entrances.
Accessible rooms: Yavapai East offers accessible rooms, including some with roll-in showers. These accessible rooms cannot currently be reserved online. Please call Central Reservations at 888-297-2757 for additional details.
