The National Geographic Visitor Center is the perfect attraction for all types of groups and is Northern Arizona’s #1 tourist attraction. It is recommended that the IMAX® Movie be seen during your group’s tour to the Grand Canyon. By doing this, you are allowing your customers to understand the history of the Canyon they are experiencing. The Theater can seat close to 500 people comfortably with excellent viewing throughout the theater. We also have eight (8) wheelchair spaces. The theater may also be rented for spacial events.

New for 2012, the National Geographic Visitor Center offers groups a dinner buffet option. Available after 5:00pm. 48 hour advance reservations required.
Selections include Teriyaki Glazed Grilled Salmon, Beef and Broccoli Stirfry and Grilled Chicken Breast Espagnole (brown sauce) with mushrooms. Buffet includes Caesar salad, steamed vegetables , corn on the cob, steamed jasmine rice, herb red skin potatoes, fresh rolls & butter, chocolate cake,and almond cookies. Tea, coffee or soft drink included.

The Grand Canyon Movie, presented in IMAX® is shown every hour on the half-hour throughout the year. There is always time to stop and view the 34-minute movie during your tour. We make the logistics easy and fast for your groups to get in and out when in a hurry. It is always nice to save some time for shopping and eating when you can find extra time.
Summer (March 1 to October 31):

The National Geographic Visitor Center in Grand Canyon, Arizona has traditionally been the first stop for groups coming to the area. Travelers can get a glorious overview of the Canyon and all of its grandeur and mystery in only 34 minutes; completing their overall Grand Canyon experience!
All of the usual amenities needed for the comfort of group travelers are available: ATM, rest areas, telephones, all in temperature-controlled comfort. Outside patio areas are available before or after the viewing of Grand Canyon IMAX® Movie Discovery & Adventure. Free bus parking is conveniently located.
In addition, group travelers will enjoy the National Geographic Store, gift kiosk and exhibits, offering prized souvenirs of their visit to Grand Canyon. Our National Geographic Visitor Center is an Arizona Office of Tourism Visitor Center and is available as a source of information about the next stop on tour.
