Who better than the Official National Geographic Visitor Center to help you create the trip of a lifetime? We provide our guests with a variety of tour options and the ability to purchase pre-pay passes to the park. We have expansive information about the Inner Grand Canyon and the local area that includes lodging, attractions, shopping, dining and events. The Visitor Center itself is home to the most famous IMAX® movie theater of all time and has the Explorer’s Café for our hungry travelers. Our Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and able to help you make the most out of your time at the Grand Canyon National Park. We even have an Official National Geographic Store where guests may purchase branded merchandise, souvenirs, books, dvds, outfitter gear and more.
Grand Canyon Visitor Center hours of operation
Summer (March 1 to October 31): 8:00 am – 10:00 pm
Film Times: Every hour on the 1/2 hour beginning at 8:30 am to 8:30 pm
Winter (November 1 to February 28): 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
Film Times: Every hour on the 1/2 hour beginning at 10:30 am to 6:30 pm

The National Geographic Visitor Center, located in Arizona at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the first place for guests to stop, both online and offline, to find the most comprehensive information to help create their Grand Canyon experience.

The local representatives that are on staff have lived in the area of the Grand Canyon for a long time and have experienced all that the National Park and surrounding areas offer. They are a great source of information and can offer guests excellent advice about traveling in and around the Grand Canyon areas.
Grand Canyon IMAX Theatre
Experience the history of the Grand Canyon and marvel at the amazing scenery while sitting comfortably in the IMAX Theater. Pre-Purchase Park Entrance Passes
With no additional cost to purchase your pass ahead of time at the Visitor Center, pick up your pass to enter the Park area at the South Rim, and save yourself time. For travelers who have purchased pre-paid passes, there is a special lane that allows pre-paid pass vehicles to enter separately. This can save guests a significant amount of time, as the lane to pay and enter the park can sometimes be extremely long.

Learn About the History of the Grand Canyon Through Interactive Exhibits
Visual images and other interactive exhibits are all a part of the Visitor Center experience and allow guests to learn about the history of the Canyon. Learn about the geology of the Canyon and experience the science behind the creation of the majestic park.
