Free Entrance to Grand Canyon National Park April 22 – 26
In celebration of National Park Week, visitors may enter National parks free of charge from April 22 through April 26. The Fee Free designation is for entrance to the park and does not affect camping, reservation, tours or use of concession areas.
This year’s National Park Week Theme is ‘Did you know…’:
- Did you know that there are 401 national parks? That they include seashores, battlefields, historic homes, archeological sites, and spectacular natural areas?
- Did you know there is at least one national park in every state?
- Did you know that 99 percent of counties in America have recreational facilities such as playgrounds and trails funded by the National Park Service’s Land & Water Conservation Fund?
- Did you know the Grand Canyon was once a designated forest reserve, and then a game preserve?
The National Park encourages everyone to take advantage of the Fee Free week and see what ‘Did you knows…’ they can discover.
