Protesters Gathering at Grand Canyon Gates Tomorrow Oct. 8th 2013 at 1pm
Community and businesses irked over the current political climate are planning a protest in the ADOT right-of-way just south of the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim entrance gates.
The organizers are saying that businesses and the people who work in Northern Arizona are suffering because the federal government has turned down more than $200,000 from South Rim business owners, the States of Arizona and adjacent town of Tusayan to partly open the Canyon during this shutdown.
The protestors will gather at 1pm Tuesday.
