Camping Trips and More in Late May and Early June
The Grand Canyon National Park and surrounding areas will be featuring a wide range of community events in the coming weeks, so keep an eye out for opportunities to discover.
The Grand Canyon Recreational Center will be hosting a trip to Lake Powell on May 31st and June 1st. Participants must may $35 in advance, but that fee includes entry to the area, transportation, and use of the campground, so tag along! Those in attendance will get the chance to participate in hikes, water sports, and more. Interested? Visit the lobby of the Grand Canyon Recreation Center at 8:45 a.m. on May 31st or call (928) 638-3389 today! The Recreational Center will also be switching to extended summer hours, so until further notice, the center is open from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Save your Boxtops, because Grand Canyon School is collecting! A single label could be worth over a dollar, and that money will go towards buying school supplies and other essential items for the students of Grand Canyon School. Boxtops can be submitted on May 30th or November 1st, and can be dropped off at the Grand Canyon School office or any one of the following drop-off locations: Kaibab Learning Center, Grand Canyon Recreation Center, Delaware North and Xanterra Human Resource office. For more information, call Lori Rommel at 928-638-2461 ext. 503.
