Grand Canyon National Park annual Star Party begins this Saturday June 18th
From June 18th to June 25th, visitors to the Grand Canyon National Park South Rim will be able to get free advice on star gazing from the Tucson Amateur Astronomy Association. Amateur astronomers will volunteer their expertise offering up free programs and free telescope viewing.
The Grand Canyon offers one of the best night sky observing in the United States due to the dark skies and clean desert air.
Events include a free evening slide show at 8:00pm and telescope viewing.
Remember to dress warmly as the evenings cool quickly. A telescope and flashlight are also recommended.
