Polar Express Train Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon Railway Offers Holiday Magic on the Polar Express™

Looking for a special way to celebrate the season? Here’s what the Grand Canyon Railway, which runs daily train experiences through the Grand Canyon Park, has planned.

Polar Express Train Grand Canyon

Beginning November 8, 2013, through January 4, 2014, families can experience the magic of the Polar Express ™, the classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg. The story comes to life through a holiday-themed excursion in the starlit wilderness of Arizona and leads to the twinkling beauty of “the North Pole”—where Santa Claus and his reindeer welcome their guests with a special present.

Throughout the ride, guests can expect Santa and a lively bunch of elves to provide cheerful entertainment, much like in the popular book. Guests can enjoy a mug of hot chocolate with some chocolate chip cookies, and are encouraged to sing, dance and act out old fashioned holiday songs, and read along to The Polar Express story to make the occasion even merrier.

Upon arrival to the enchanted North Pole, the train will burst with anticipation as Santa makes his way through the train, visiting everyone, and leaving them with a special gift – a jingle bell signifying their belief in Santa.
The Polar Express train ride is a unique Christmas celebration that is guaranteed to become a new family holiday tradition.
