Couple from Santa Rosa, CA drives, trains to Grand Canyon

My husband and I wanted to take a road trip and, after consulting AAA magazine, decided to visit the Grand Canyon. We had never been before and had some friends who’d visited recently strongly recommend it.

We drove from Santa Rosa, CA to Williams, AZ, and took the train to the Grand Canyon. When we arrived we took a bus tour, had dinner, and then stayed overnight in a hotel, the next day we saw the IMAX which was recommended to us by our friends who had previously visited the canyon, and it was absolutely spectacular. We followed the IMAX with a day hike through the canyon, and had lunch.

I expected the trip to be a blast, and it was exactly as I expected. Because we had friends recently attend who recommended it to us, we pretty much knew what to expect, and it did not fail one bit. Seeing the Grand Canyon in person is something I would recommend to anyone and I hope maybe one day I’m able to go again with my grandchildren.
