Testimonial: Grand Canyon IMAX a highlight for America National Parks tour

Our family decided to take our motor home out on a month-long vacation to America’s National Parks and the Grand Canyon was certainly at the top of our list of destinations.

Our party consisted of my wife and I, as well as my sister-in-law and her husband, and my daughter. My wife and I had been to the Grand Canyon before, but the rest of our party had never been there and that is one of the main reasons the Grand Canyon was at the top of our list.
We arrived at the Grand Canyon and set up our campsite just outside the canyon. We started at the North Rim, spent a little time sightseeing there, and then headed for the South Rim where all the action is! When we arrived at the South Rim, we first went to the Visitors Center, where we were greeted by extremely friendly, courteous and informative staff. We went and saw the IMAX movie, which was absolutely outstanding. Seeing the canyon on the IMAX screen was amazing – it honestly felt like we were flying through the Grand Canyon. Also, going down into the rapids and learning about the history of the Grand Canyon were parts we particularly enjoyed.
After the IMAX movie we went to the souvenir shops.  Everyone bought several items, including copies of the IMAX film to show our family and friends back home. After we shopped, we took the car around to some of the different overlooks, snapped a ton of photos and took in the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon. My sister-in-law and her husband and my daughter could not believe their eyes.  They were so determined to go to as many different overlooks and vantage points as they could, snapping photo after photo. After exploring we went back to our motor home and camped out for the night. The next day we did more of the same, taking the car all around the Grand Canyon, visiting the different overlooks and taking photos. I’d say the most memorable parts of this trip to the Grand Canyon were the IMAX – which we loved so much we purchased copies – and seeing the reaction on my daughter’s face when she first saw the canyon. This trip far exceeded everyone’s expectations and we cannot wait to return to the Grand Canyon sometime in the hopefully near future!
