Testimonial : Family visit to the Grand Canyon. Elaine Columbus – Chicago, IL

“My family of five decided on a vacation to see relatives and escape the Chicago cold in Phoenix, Arizona. While in Phoenix, we took a two day side trip to the Grand Canyon. Three of us, including myself, had never been to the Grand Canyon before. We first arrived at the Visitors Center, where we were greeted by friendly, informative staff. We picked up a map and immediatley went on some site seeing. We spent our first day taking the shuttles to different overlook sites, snapping photos and really enjoying the serenity and beauty of the Grand Canyon. My husband had previously seen the Grand Canyon IMAX Film at another venue, and had continually ranted and raved about it, so we were excited at our opportunity to finally see it. On the second day we saw the IMAX, and it was absolutely fabulous as expected. Aside from seeing all the different picturesque sites of the Grand Canyon on the big screen, we learned so much about the history of the Grand Canyon that we’d never known before. The IMAX was really the icing on the cake of a beautiful, memorable family excursion. When it ended I was dying for more. I wish we had seen the film on the first day because after seeing it I learned of so many other parts of the Canyon I could have saw but wasn’t able to due to time constraints. The most memorable part of this vacation besides the IMAX of course, was spending time with my family riding the shuttles to the different overlook sites, really enjoying ourselves and experiencing a family vacation we’ll never forget. On this past Memorial Day weekend, we had other family members over and were showing them the different pictures we took of all the Canyon sites we saw and they were blown away! I think its safe to say the Grand Canyon staff should expect to see us again in the future!”
