Grand Canyon Tourist Attractions & Activities
The Grand Canyon is a wonderful and stunning place, and while some would be perfectly content spending their vacation roaming the canyon and the surrounding Grand Canyon National Park, others may choose to diversify their Grand Canyon experience.
You may be wondering what other activities lie near the Grand Canyon’s South Rim, the most popular area of the attraction, and we’re here to help you discover all the fun that can be had. You may want to begin with a trip to one of the area’s museums or the IMAX theatre, where you can learn all about the history of the canyon itself.
Things to Do at Grand Canyon South Rim
Your Grand Canyon experience can be anything you want it to be, which is why it draws so many people in each year. Millions of people come, not only to feast their eyes on the unfathomable depth of the canyon itself, but to take in hiking tours, trail rides, camping, river rafting and more. That’s not to mention helicopter and airplane tours!
South Rim Activities for Kids
Bringing kids along? While most of the less-dangerous activities around the Grand Canyon’s South Rim are perfectly kid-friendly, some feel that there’s not enough for the kids to do, and that couldn’t be further from the truth. Plenty of the activities we’ve mentioned (along with quite a few others specifically tailored for younger visitors) are perfect for kids, so don’t be afraid to bring them along.
