From Landscapes and wildlife to history and adventure, what’s the one thing about the Grand Canyon that has intrigued you?

It is impossible to look at the Grand Canyon and not be left in awe. The use of the “grand” to describe it is the world’s greatest understatement. No picture will ever do it justice. At one point, I sat in a quiet spot overlooking the Canyon and it became a spiritual experience.

Tell us a little about yourself!  This will be included on the web site.  What brought you to Grand Canyon? Where are you from? What do you do? What are your influences?

I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. I taught 3rd grade for 17 years. I I have always loved photography, especially Ansel Adams. I have always loved the southwest. So I split my college experiences between UCLA and the University of New Mexico. I took one spring break to explore Arizona which is incomplete without a lengthy stop at the Grand Canyon.
