From Landscapes and wildlife to history and adventure, what’s the one thing about the Grand Canyon that has intrigued you?
Hiking the canyon.
If this is your first visit to Grand Canyon, what motivated you to visit? If this is a revisit, what’s your reason for wanting to come back?
The hiking attracted me to the Grand Canyon, along with free airline dollars. I had never traveled to the western part of the USA and wanted to see what I was missing. I enjoy exploring national and state parks, so the Grand Canyon was a perfect fit.
What are five things your Backpack to the Canyon must contain?
Sleepbag, sleeping pad, water filter, camelback, and gloves.
What is the best way to get to the Grand Canyon – By Air, By Road or By Rail? Why?
If you can, I would definitely say via road trip through many USA states. However, since I was limited on time, I flew into Vegas and drove to the park from there.
What is travel to you in one word?
Exciting
What are three tips for an awesome budget trip to the Grand Canyon?
Camping, bring your own food, annual park pass.
What type of camera did you bring? Any tips on shooting the Grand Canyon?
Canon PowerShot at the time. I would have loved to have a DSLR, but I was a broke college student.
What surprised you about the Grand Canyon?
The vastness of it.
