Grand Canyon Offering Free Entry Aug 25th – Aug 28th 2016
The Grand Canyon offering free entry free activities to celebrate the National Park Service centennial. The centennial celebration starts August 25th 2016, the day NPS will turn 100, through August 28.
Entrance fees into the park will be waived and visitors can explore the Amtrak Trails, the Rails Exhibit, Centennial Central and more.
Centennial Central located at the South Rim Train Depot, will have booths from local organizations and park partners, in addition to free cake, food and different beverage options.
Park visitors will be able to explore at the Amtrak Trails and Rails exhibit to learn the importance of railroads in national parks over the years. Kids can also learn about the trains at Chuggington Depot. There will be coloring tables and a toy train for exploration.
