Grand Canyon North Rim begin Seasonal Closures

Facilities at the Grand Canyon National Park North Rim (Not to be confused with Grand Canyon South RIm, home of the Visitor Center and IMAX Theatre) are reducing services past Sunday October 15th. The North Rim Visitor Center will be open intermittently from 9am to 3pm through October 31.

From November 1 – November 30 the North Rim will remain open from dawn to dusk for day use only. The official full North Rim closure will be Friday, December 1 or earlier if snow forces the closure of State Highway 67.

The Arizona Department of Transportation inform visitors after October 15th to be prepared for winter driving conditions.

The Grand Canyon South Rim remains open all year.  The Grand Canyon Visitor Center and IMAX Theatre will continue operations throughout the year.
