“My wife and I had been planning to take a vacation for some time, and we decided on the Southwest. We arrived at the Grand Canyon for a 3 day/2 night stay. We first arrived at our hotel, checked in and got settled, then headed over to the Visitors Center. We found the staff to be courteous and informative. After spending some time at the Visitors Center, we did some exploring on foot and with the shuttles. We were able to snap some great pictures up on the overlooks, and even went out and stood on the edges. That is quite an intense feeling! As the evening approached, we had a nice dinner at the Alta Bar and retired for the night. The second day we started off with some further site seeing, did some exploration on foot and took some more shuttle rides. We then took a special Grand Canyon Shuttle tour that was very in depth. The driver was very informative and accessible for questions. This was alot of fun. On this tour especially I was able to get some great pictures. The third day we saw the IMAX movie, which was spectacular. To see the Grand Canyon in such detail on the big screen was a great experience. I would say the most memorable part of the trip for us was the special Grand Canyon shuttle tour we took on day two. Aside from the driver being courteous, funny, and very informative, just to be out in the canyon, snapping pictures and taking in the natural beauty, is something we’ll never forget. Being there for the first time, I will say without a shadow of a doubt that this vacation far exceeded our expectations. We never expected all the activities and amentities offered to Grand Canyon visitors. All the different tours, the IMAX, and even the ability to go out and stand out on the edge of a cliff, and so much more made this an overall wonderful vacation”.
