It is wonderful feeling to meet a goal…
Recently a visitor shared his personal goal with me, and gave me permission to share his story. And what a wonderful story it is!
As a child, the gentleman was raised in a family that was unable to afford family vacations, so he made a promise to himself when he was ten years old that by his fiftieth birthday he would take his future family on a vacation to the Grand Canyon. He would take his wife and children to the place that he had always dreamed of seeing. And, yes, today was his fiftieth birthday! He pointed out his family to me…wife and two teen-age sons. The man’s pride and happiness welled within him and spilled out into a smile on his face. He had achieved his life-long goal.
“We are on a family vacation at the Grand Canyon! Can you believe it??? Can you believe it???????
It was truly heart-warming to share his happiness.
